Horse Related Experience

  • 1964-1969- Member of Kindersley 4-H Wranglers Light Horse.

  • 1968- Started 4 year old gelding as 4-H horse

  • 1972-1988- With husband Don custom started about 200 colts and bad habit horses.

  • 1976-1998- Showed various horses on the Saskatchewan Heritage Classic Circuit, specializing in speed events.

  • 1972-present- Enrolled in riding lessons, including, lessons in Basic English and Western, jumping, cutting, and barrel racing.

  • 1972 to present- With husband Don, rescued and started or retrained auction sale horses.

  • 1974-1983- With husband Don raised Registered Quarter horses

  • 1976-1980- Trained and seasoned AQHA World Qualifier in figure 8 stake.

  • 1976-present- Member Saskatchewan Horse Federation.

  • 1976-1998- Managed several aspects of planning and holding Saskatchewan Horse Federation Permit Horse Shows.

  • 1980-1983- Briefly competed in CCA rodeo barrel racing.

  • 1982-1994- 4-H project leader and instructor.

  • 1988-2000 Employed by Kindersley Saddlery Center.

  • 2002-present - Began to teach lessons and guide trail rides at home on the ranch


  • Education

  • 2006- University of Saskatchewan Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with great distinction.

  • 2008- Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR Level B refresher course
